Modern Artist Press looks to expand and explode the definition of a modern artist by publishing literary fiction.
MSWL: I am currently accepting submissions for literary horror novels and ghost stories. Feminist retellings and spooky twists on traditional folktales are encouraged; murder mysteries are not.
The press accepts work from writers who have agents as well as those who do not. The press does not accept work created with artificial intelligence systems or technologies.
Submission Guidelines
Writers with completed manuscripts are invited to submit the following to submissions@modernartistpress.com:
- the first 25 pages of your manuscript in a Word document
- synopsis (500-1,000 words)
- author biography (300-500 words)
- initial ideas for marketing the published book
Submissions without all four components may not be reviewed. Please do not submit your work unless you have a complete manuscript available upon request.
I look forward to reading your submissions.
